The Virtual Technology Center prides itself on providing professional level desktop publishing services to UH staff and faculty. Whether you need a logo, brochure, or a simple flyer, the VTC office can help enhance your document and ensure that your first impression is a good one.

NSM IT also offers a complete solution to services including hosting, consultation, website design, scripting, and maintenance. We also support a variety of web technologies including Flash/Shockwave, PHP, Lasso Scripting, Java, Javascript, MySQL and more. More

The VTC offers a complete solution for video recording and editing. Using the latest editing tools, we can help convey your message and optimize it for web or even television. From design and planning to post-production, we can help you develop professional educational media that will speak volumes about your work. Oftentimes, even the best ideas cannot be expressed solely on paper. The Virtual Technology Center (VTC) recognizes this limitation and offers staff and faculty the opportunity to breathe life into their ideas by giving them a third dimension to convey their scientific research to the public.

Whether it be printing 3-dimensional models or simply rendering molecule in 3D space, we can help pull the ideas out of your powerpoint slides and bring them to life right before your eyes. More

NSMIT has been offering Large Format Printing services since 2003. Printing conference posters, information displays, and other signage are all possible with the VTC's Epson Inkjet 9600 large format printer. Using long-lasting Ultrachrome ink, posters look amazing on sturdy photo-grade paper.

The Virtual Technology Center aims to bridge distance learning even closer than ever before. Offering a variety of collaborative tools and e-meeting software such as instant messaging to full-out desktop/whiteboard sharing, the VTC seeks to close the divide created by off campus learning. More

The VStation concept has arisen out of a need for a standalone kiosk system for staff, faculty, and students in areas where computers may not be readily available. The kiosk offers document printing and scanning, access to a variety of online UH resources, and live video technical support or video-driven academic advising*. Serving as an important tool for communication between all UH faculty, staff and students, NSMIT hopes to broaden its deployment across the entire campus over the next few years. More

VNet includes a web-based centralized information environment for administration and academic services. Obsolete and time-consuming paper forms are replaced with modern web electronic documents (VResource). Professors are able to access their cost centers in real time and approve purchases from their graduate students (VPurchase). Streaming course videos and class materials are available to students seeking to review information from their classes (VClass).
